Connect Muse to Klaviyo
Last updated: October 2026. With the Klaviyo connector, Muse can read your flow library, segments and campaign history — then audit for duplicates, rebuild stale templates, and fix missing tracking. The best first job: an audit, not a campaign.
Real example
April Polk, founder of JaeLuxe Shoetique, connected Muse to Klaviyo and Shopify ahead of the holiday season. Muse audited her email automations, found duplicate flows double-emailing customers, shut them down, recreated the flows, rebuilt the templates and turned on tracking — all in under an hour. Doing it manually would have taken three to four hours. Read the full case →
Setup (about 10 minutes)
- Open Connections. In the Muse app, go to Settings → Connections (or Apps) and find Klaviyo.
- Authorize via OAuth. Grant read access to flows, segments and campaign history. Muse needs to see the mess before it can clean it.
- Run the audit first. "Audit my active email flows in Klaviyo. Check for duplicate triggers, missing tracking, and inconsistent send logic." Review every finding.
- Approve fixes as drafts. Muse creates corrected versions as drafts — you edit, then activate. Flows never go live on the agent's own authority.
Copy-paste prompts
Flow audit
Audit my active email flows in Klaviyo. Check for duplicate triggers, missing tracking, and inconsistent send logic. For anything broken, draft a corrected version — don't activate anything without my approval.
Welcome series rewrite
Read my current welcome series and my last 90 days of campaign performance. Rewrite the series in my brand voice, cut anything under a 20% open rate, and show me the new version before I approve.
Segment health check
List my active segments with subscriber counts and last engagement date. Flag segments that haven't been mailed in 90 days and any that overlap by more than 50%.
Abandoned-cart refresh
Review my abandoned-cart flow: timing, number of touches, discount logic. Compare against my recent order data and suggest changes — drafts only, no activation.
Permissions & safety
- Drafts, never auto-send. Muse creates corrected flows as drafts. Activation is always yours.
- Consent boundaries hold. Muse works within your existing segments and consent flags — it doesn't add subscribers or mail the unsubscribed.
- Brand voice is yours to guard. Review every rewritten template once. The agent learns your voice from your content, but it doesn't have an editor's judgment.
- Revoke anytime. Settings → Connections → Klaviyo → Revoke.
Failure modes
- Trigger overlap. The exact bug the audit finds — two flows firing on the same event. Always ask Muse to list triggers side by side, not just "check for duplicates."
- Stale product data. Templates referencing discontinued products are common. Ask Muse to cross-check product blocks against your current catalog.
- Missing UTMs. Flows without tracking look fine and measure nothing. Make "check tracking on every flow" part of the audit prompt.
- Over-mailing. A "fixed" flow set can still mail too often in aggregate. Ask for a per-subscriber weekly touch count before activating.
