Book appointments
Delegation guide · 📅 Planning · all tasks
Can Muse do it? Yes. Give it the what, the when-window, and the where. It searches availability, cross-checks your calendar, and books — with a confirmation step before anything is final.
The prompt
Book me a [dentist cleaning] sometime [next week, weekday mornings]. I'm near [zip code] and prefer [provider name, if any]. Check my calendar for conflicts first, then find 3 open slots, rank them by fit, and book the best one — confirm the details with me before finalizing.
Steps
- Connect your calendar. This is what makes the whole thing work — Muse needs to see existing events to avoid conflicts.
- State constraints, not just the task. Days, times, location radius, provider preferences. "Dentist next week" is vague; "weekday mornings near 90210" is bookable.
- Review the ranked options. Muse returns 3 slots with trade-offs (earlier vs. closer vs. preferred provider).
- Confirm the booking. Nothing books without your OK. Muse adds the confirmed appointment to your calendar.
Works well for
- Recurring personal care: dentist cleanings, haircuts, annual physicals.
- Car service: oil changes, inspections, tire rotations.
- Restaurants: reservations via OpenTable and similar — Muse can also coordinate a group by checking everyone's constraints.
Caveats
- Phone-only businesses need you. If a provider only takes bookings by phone, Muse preps the call details and hands it to you.
- Verify the confirmation. Check that you received the provider's confirmation (email/text) — don't rely solely on Muse's report.
- Cancellation policies vary. Ask Muse to note the cancellation window when booking, so a no-show fee doesn't surprise you.
