Plan meals, run groceries
Delegation guide · 🏠 Family · all tasks
Can Muse do it? Yes. The full chain: saved recipes (or your constraints) → a week of meals → one consolidated grocery list → price comparison → order, with your approval at checkout.
The prompt
Plan 5 weeknight dinners for 2 people: [vegetarian / no nuts / under 600 kcal each — your constraints]. Use my saved Instagram recipe reels where they fit, and fill gaps with simple recipes. Then build one consolidated grocery list, check what I already have from my last order, compare prices across [2 stores], and place the order — show me the full cart for approval first.
Steps
- Set constraints. Household size, dietary rules, budget, nights to cover. Constraints are what make the plan usable.
- Point at your saves (optional). If you save cooking videos, Muse pulls from them first — otherwise it plans from scratch.
- Review the week. Muse returns 5 dinners with recipes. Swap anything that doesn't appeal — it's one message.
- Approve the cart. One list, deduplicated ingredients, price comparison across stores. You approve, Muse orders.
Linked real cases
Recipe reels → grocery list — saved cooking videos turned into one grocery list and order. And Grocery run, ~10× faster — the full agent-run grocery workflow as a stress test.
Caveats
- Check the cart before approving. Quantities and substitutions are where agents slip — a 5-minute review beats a wrong delivery.
- Pantry awareness is approximate. Muse works from your last order, not your actual shelves. Tell it what staples you always have.
- Delivery windows fill up. Approve promptly if you want a specific slot — Muse can also just build the list and let you order.
