65. The train-delay refund

📣 Real-user report — shared publicly by a Muse user, not independently verified.

The job: Dreamebig.o's GO Train was delayed and she arrived home an hour late. She gave Meta's Muse her Presto card number and asked it to file the complaint. Muse filed the GO Transit service guarantee claim, and GO Transit's auto-generated email — 'GO Train Service Guarantee Update' — confirmed the claim was approved and her card credited. She shared a screenshot of the email (claim number and amount blacked out) with a Korean caption explaining that Muse handled the whole process. The thread drew enthusiastic replies praising the frictionless claims handling, with commenters contrasting it favorably with ChatGPT, Gemini, and Claude.

My GO Train was delayed [tonight] and I got home about [an hour] late — Presto card [number]. File the GO Transit service guarantee claim for me: use the delay details, submit the claim, and send me the claim confirmation. If any step needs my password or payment, stop and ask me first — don't guess.

Difficulty Easy · Best for Commuters on transit systems with delay-refund or service-guarantee programs · Anyone sitting on an unfiled claim because the form is annoying · People who want small refunds claimed before the filing window closes

What Muse will do:

  1. Tell Muse what happened: which route, how late you arrived, and the date
  2. Give it the identifiers the claim form needs (e.g. your transit card number) — never passwords
  3. Have it file the claim and report back the confirmation
  4. Wait for the refund email instead of chasing the form yourself

Why it works: Claims are tedious by design: the form is buried, the eligibility fine print is long, and most people never bother. The delay already happened — the only thing standing between you and the refund is paperwork nobody wants to do. An agent turns that leftover annoyance into a single notification. The same shape of playbook ports anywhere a claim form guards money: flight delays, price guarantees, warranties, bank fee reversals.

Common failures:

  • The post describes the outcome, not the exact steps Muse took or which form it used — the prompt above is this site's reconstruction.
  • The refund amount and claim number are redacted in the screenshot — the original post doesn't disclose them.
  • Filing a claim can hit a login wall: give Muse only what the form requires, and have it stop and ask at any password or payment step.
  • A service-guarantee claim only pays when the delay meets the program's threshold — check the policy before you expect a refund.

Prompt variations:

  • Flight delays: see 'Flight-delay advocate' for the email-escalation ladder version
  • Price drops, warranty claims, bank fee reversals — anywhere a form stands between you and money
  • The author's original caption was in Korean — the playbook works in any language
