💼 Work

41. Run the shop from bed

📣 Real-user report — shared publicly by a Muse user, not independently verified.

The job: Jon ONeill runs a plumbing company. At 6am, still in bed, he sends a single message to his Muse agent. The agent updates the job board, texts customers, briefs the office manager arriving at 8am in Slack, and notifies the technicians. The whole morning dispatch runs without him opening a laptop.

Morning dispatch. Today is [date]. 1. Check the job board and list today's scheduled jobs with assigned technicians. 2. Text each customer their arrival window: "[Company] will arrive between [X] and [Y] today. Reply to reschedule." 3. Post a summary in the #office Slack channel for the manager arriving at 8am: jobs, techs, and anything at risk. 4. Notify each technician of their first job and address. Do not cancel or reschedule anything without asking me. Report the dispatch summary when done.

Difficulty Moderate · Best for Field-service owners · Anyone with a daily dispatch routine

What Muse will do:

  1. Give the agent read access to the job board and calendar
  2. Write the dispatch checklist once, as a reusable prompt
  3. Set the rule: notify, never cancel, without approval
  4. Review the dispatch summary each morning

Why it works: Small service businesses run on the same morning ritual every day: check the board, message customers, brief the crew. It's 15 minutes of coordination that an agent can do in two — and it never sleeps in.
